How to successfully Launch on Product Hunt?

My team and I are gearing up for Launch. I have been reading the blogs, but there is so much information out there. Just wondering if anyone that has experience launching what was the number one piece of advice you wished you knew and what was one thing that you think you did right when launching?

Hello Claire

I have a website (oyestartups.com) which interviews makers There is a question, I asked to everyone

"Did you use Betalist or PH or other Startup Launching Platform for Launching ? How was that experience ?"

Most of them replied that they have an awesome experience with PH

you can read it by yourself

In my opinion, you have control on three things (when you launch, both day and hour), how fast you reach the front page and your launch page.

On you launch page add a video and at least another image. If you leave only an image/video, you won't see anything.

The moment your product is in the newest tab, start asking everywhere you can to "support it". Asking for upvotes is forbidden and nobody goes to the newest tab, so you have to get enough upvotes to reach the front page (10+).

The day you chosse depends on the strength of your product. During the week you will get more traffic but there is a lot more competition.

Overall, the main factor is out of your control. If your product is not a good fit for the commmunity, you will see limited success. It happened to several multimillion and even billion dollar companies.
