Which big company doesn't do scary API abuse?
Recently, Gmail security audits were making their creators pay a hefty sum 👉 https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/psa-new-google-policy-creates-15k-barrier-to-entry-for-apps-using-the-gmail-api-08070e6e4c
Twitter did something similar 👉 http://apps-of-a-feather.com/
Which platforms do you know of don't do something similar, yet?
Makerlog, I hear they're about to IPO 😉
Jokes aside, it's hard to say. Most big companies have all the incentive to lock down their API (vendor lock-in, etc).
It's hard to find a company that doesn't. Investors don't like ease-to-switch. Proprietary technology is sexy to them.
Yeah maybe we just need to scrape the thing & DOM inject as ClosetTools guy did
