Makerlog needs forum improvements

Makerlog Needs to have a Better Forum System, and Have More Interaction Where Makers can Share Posts, ask and more.

I think that is the point of the Slack channel. (Maker's Kitchen) Or on Telegram.

I just joined today. What's the main difference between the community and/or discussions in Slack vs. Telegram?

These are typically more eloquent and formal.

What kinds of features or systems are you looking for?

Personally, I'm not sure there needs to be more forum features. I'm not sure the intended purpose, but I think they perfectly support simple conversation. I think the intended purpose of Makerlog is to log making and it more than does that.

Suggestion:

https://getmakerlog.com/discussions/ could redirect to the MakerLog subreddit that @m1guelpf made.

Then, @Serio could have one less thing to code and debug.

I agree, Vicki. This system works great for formal knowledge storage and sharing - it's served great as a forum to share ideas and request formal help.

Aside from small changes and new post types coming in the future, I won't be overhauling this forum.

I don't think I'll be redirecting to the subreddit, as most of the knowledge is already here on-site, but it is a great suggestion - I didn't know we had a subreddit! :)

@sergio oh yeah, there is one. I'm the first poster on it too, after I got curious.
