How much do you spend on ads (x%)?

Question: How much money do you spend on ads to promote your side hustle?

Let's assume your MRR is $1000 - what percentage of that do you spend on ads (assume you have already landing pages and marketing funnels set up)

If your MRR jumped to $10,000 would you increase or decrease the % of ad spend? Why?

Most makers don't spend money on ads - afaik. It depends on your industry though.

Ok so how do you scale when you're a maker and you've exhausted your initial acquisition channels and word of mouth?

@orliesaurus Referral programs, SEO, and writing articles (blogs, medium articles) are good ways of advertising yourself! Also, if you're just getting started, there's absolutely nothing wrong with cold email marketing.

it's not of a good way of thinking about ads. You should continue advertising until it stops being profitable or you are unable to serve additional demand. Clearly, you have to consider the cash flow too.
