What's your plan for the new year?
2019 just began, and we're all getting started on new journeys and ideas. What are your goals this year?
It's pretty easy for me.
- Put the V4(?) online with NameRobot (hope until the end of the month)
- QUIQQER e-commerce ready to be used by others as well
- Create at least 3 new services with QUIQQER
- Test Sequry and finish the first final version (http://sequry.io)
- Found a third company to deal with these services + Sequry
- And maybe, if there is still time, start building QUIQQER Community … but I'm not sure if I can do it this year yet
Mine are similar.
- Learn nodejs
- Make some MRR
- Write more! I redesigned a brand-spanking new blog from scratch. Need to use it more often.
- Grow Makerlog and continue the roadmap.
Mine is next:
- build an advertising network
- make some revenue
- maybe marry, not sure 😅
- build a first mobile app
- change job, not ready to be a full-time indie maker
- learn much more about programming, money
- Release Venture Cost (Yes, believe it or not)
- Travel through Europe
- Create 2 startups (Already thought of one idea)
- Get a bit more fit, just to stay healthy basically
- Figure out why I have Brain fog…
- Reach 1000 Followers on Twitter
Progress 2019-06-02:
- Travel through Europe
- Create 2 startups (Already thought of one idea)
- Get a bit more fit, just to stay healthy basically
I'm slowly progressing towards the remaining tasks.
- Read 24 books
- Keep doing my morning routine of some flexibility exercises and meditation
- Start my own business and launch 2-3 apps
- Learn how to kite surf
- Release a song to Spotify
• Get a full-time or part-time gig to stabilize income
• Learn how to build a consistent lead source
• Grow a product to $1,000 MRR
• Read a lot of books (last year's goal was 70, I read 16)
- Make $1000 on the internet
- Actually learn design
- Actually learn marketing
- Publish an article per week
- Reach ProductHunt #1
- Get to 5000 Twitter followers
- Go to LaraconEU
- Speak at a meetup
- Launch 12 products
I have my insane goal to manage to work 8 hours every day and do it in a consistent and sustainable way. By doing it as a challenge (EverBetterChallenge) I trick my self to do that, also your Makerlog helps a lot.
This is then helping me reach all my other goals:
- Build our secret Social App
- Rebuild Appernetic
- Build a Chat Boot that predicts the stock market.
- Freelance for clients
- Get lots of money in my Bank Account.
So far so good. Have been overworking a bit. Averaging on 10 - 11 hours now.
Mine:
- Consistently log 6+ hours of focused work time a day
- Improve my work / life balance, reduce procrastination
- Learn VueJS and build a personal task / finance tracking system
- Design and launch a t-shirt design on Cotton Bureau
- Design and get a tattoo
- Run a 5K
Last year I actually built and released a thing, after a couple years of noodling on stuff.
This year, wanna ingrain good habits, increase momentum.
Couple top of mind specifics:
- read more books
- keep doing daily mindfulness
- start writing daily
- get beta users for ProjectPoll; keep adding features+polish
- be more honest, purposeful and focused. Less worried about appearing smart or successful :D
Goals..jeez, too many!
- continue to build our small business
- time management (😅)
- find new customers
- create influencers program
- grow subscribers
- finally take time to read all the blog posts, articles and notes I have bookmarked
- continuing to grow our following on IG
- have more fun 😉
Hm… I hadn’t really thought about it. Let’s see…
- start freelancing on the side (the actual hard part is getting the required license and figuring out the taxes and accounting)
- travel to a few other EU countries (relatively easy and cheap to do but I don’t like traveling by myself which complicates things)
- become conversational in Japanese (just the basics really)
- make a personal website/blog/portfolio that I am proud of and reflects who I am
Here is my list
- Brainstorm and make at least 4 products
- Learn GraphQL, Flutter, and TypeScript
- Improve physical activities (running, yoga and meditation)
- Improve sleep timings
How's everyone's progress? I'm doing great, pretty much where I expected to be at at this time.
