Launched into early release today
I updated 's homepage in prep for early-release this Wednesday
Just a note, I absolutely despise writing marketing copy and I am pretty awful at it. At this hour, I am just tired of trying to think of all the right words so I just decided to hit the upload button and leave it as-is.
On the home stretch for .. just finishing up account settings tomorrow
Overall my goal this weekend is to be 100% "done" at all costs. Done in a sense that people who've been waiting for Featrd to be completed can use it π
Spent the last 24 hrs straight powering through the functionality for the dashboard & settings pages for
While I feel like a zombie now, I'm more determined than ever to soft launch/beta launch by next weekend. I just realized you can select multiple pics to upload but only one is actually uploaded :(.
Finished writing interview responses for ICanNowCode's Coding Journeys
Created my own URL shortener for magic login links in emails
This one for me is MEGA exciting! No more Rebrandly or any other paid service for short URLs. When I finish Featrd, I will 100% write out all the steps I took to share the knowlegde :).
Added login-as user functionality
I know a lot of other "feedback / Idea / feature suggestion" products have "vote on behalf". To cut down on time, team members will be able to just login as their customers and do whatever voting they need to do on "behalf" of them.
Completed email verification logic for client registration
Been mainly powering through the settings pages for
I haven't been logging on maker log because I've been heads down in the code. Mainly getting through all remaining setting-related tasks and pages right now. This isn't the final page but, at least it's partially working :).
Added the most basic level of export functionality for exporting a list of users to a CSV
I need to add some fields from the user table in the DB to the user view table so the additional fields are included in an export.
Updated the homepage for Featrd
Nothing here is finalized but, since I changed the hubs to allow a header image/gradient background, I needed to update the image on the homepage to reflect this.
I figured I might as well give the homepage a bit of a refresh while I'm at it. Other than this change today I'm full steam ahead wrapping up remaining tasks for the feature request hubs.

Fixed a bug where "remember me" doesn't actually keep you logged in after closing the browser
Mainly a day of improving error logic
- Improved error logic on google sign-in/sign-up flows
- Started working on a better way to display "duplicate post detection" so users can post new ideas
- Fixed issue where comments would wipe out the rest of a user's text if a new line was entered in the comment box, weird but fixed.

Thank you, and you're doing great work as well .. I've been following along with your updates :)
Got some long overdue tasks done today for Featrd
- Both signing up and signing in with Google work on request hubs along with regular login/registration - just need to improve error handling.
- Updated the roadmap view so JSON is returned from the server instead of HTML. This is so I can cache static HTML server-side and load dynamic content with JS like the rest of the pages.
