Finished designing the landing page and got approved by the charity for their website.

I listened to a few podcasts in the last three days which gave lots of ideas to tweak my outreach copy further and make more sense of the social initiative to founders. I feel more confident about the copy now and will resume the outreach this week.

I have been looking into alternatives way of securing funding for my social venture and one common funding route is grants. I had no prior experience so spent the weekend learning all about it and had a call with a charity client to get his knowledge on it too. #WeekendWellSpent

The first goal was 10 founders and then 25 founders so reached the second milestone. The next milestone is 50 founders to support We Care Social initiative.

My outreach email was too long. I listened to a few podcasts about cold emails, gained some valuable points and made my outreach email shorter.

-the plan is for founders to sign up with their email address rather than follow We Care Social on LinkedIn and Twitter. I figured founders preferring giving their email address to get updates rather than following on social media.

-Tweaked the messaging to make it more precise how the initiative works

Talked with Helen from Jovial about how sales copy is an evolving task and not a task done. I've done the latest tweak of my sales copy and will be testing it out today for my social venture We Care Social https://wecaresocial.co/

I've been listening to alot of marketing podcasts in recent days and one thing I commonly hear is understanding and working out the customer segmentation. I spent some time doing the analysis and made a good framework of the type of audience I need to target.

Had two calls with two charities yesterday and both agreed to work with We Care Social to help them build their websites for free.

This will be the 5th and 6th charity We Care Social will be helping.

The first charity helps people in war torn Sri Lanka overcome mental health issues.

The second charity help feed and provide mental health counseling for homeless people living in London.

It's been three weeks since I started to approach founders with whom I have worked previously to talk about the social impact initiative at We Care Social. So far 22 founders have graciously agreed to contribute $20/year and support We Care Social

After finishing my first four charities help build their websites for free. I have now spoken to 2 more charities and decided to help them with their website for free.

I started We Care Social https://wecaresocial.co/ three months ago to help charities build their websites for free on behalf of tech founders who support the cause.

So far I’ve been very thankful to work on behalf of founders to help 4 charities across India, UK and Netherlands and collectively helped save over $5130 for the charities by building their websites free of cost. The money saved on websites gets redirected to their core mission.

This morning during my walk I listened to Laura Lopuch's incredible tips on polishing the cold email for founders on the SalesForFounders podcast. Really helpful and worth listening.

Finished designing a static website for Jackie Chan's European charity foundation. Got a demo call with the team to finalise the designs and proceed to the development of the website.
