The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little "extra".

Reduce build time.

Reduced by 50%. It takes now ~1m to build on Netlify instead of 2m10s.

Kairo was on one of the subreddits this Weekend.

I would say it was well received. 🥳 I will be opening this status whenever I feel low on energy. :)

First annual plan subscriber

Not even two weeks since the very first monthly plan subscriber, we have now first annual plan subscriber! 🔥

And to test the waters before an official launch, I have posted Kairo to r/SideProject https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/ntjt52/i_made_a_time_habit_and_goal_tracker_web_app_that/

Shipped Public Status page within Kairo

Solves my problem whilst working from home and not wanting to be disturbed. You can enable a status page and share a link with others in the household, telling them when your focus ends.

Today started with 42 open tasks, ending the day with 20 open.

Cleaning up and polishing. 20 out of 42 tasks left. PurgeCSS reduced the size by ~600kB, Sentry added to catch errors, some fixes here and there, new Business plan with early access form, plus simple 404 page. #kairo

Background customizations - gradients and solid colours

Added an option to change the background of the tracking board. Pick from eight pre-defined gradients or twenty two colours. #kairo

Implement onboarding walkthroughs and in-app help

Fun to use my other company's product (Inline Manual) for my little side-project #kairo - and for free. :) - closer to official launch.

Added "Populate sample data" button to the free version...

...so visitors can see the tracker in action without much clicking around.

And added T&C's, Policy Privacy and Acceptable Use Policy. One step closer to official launch.

TIL about Floating Point Math

Other than that, been just experimenting with bits and pieces.

Feature freeze - finally. Managed to ship all the MVP+ features.

At this point the MVP is complete, with more features than I initially planned (I have enjoyed the development too much). Time to focus on polishing and going officially live.

Hopefully the last 10% won't take 90% of the time. #kairo

If only I knew how to tag a project #kairo 🤔 🧐

Added new block type - Countdown 🌟

I am really enjoying how flexible this concept is. No need to create any additional functionality for Pomodoro as I've planned. The concept of rows and cols being configurable, with the countdown and previous blocks, it all just clicked together.

Fully configurable board in Kairo - with rows and columns, titles and colours

Not that it is a critical feature, nor MVP worthy, but I have enjoyed working on this one. 😊

Start working on Deep Work feature for getkairo.com - wip

The deep work tracker mode is working. Next is to make the checklist editable and collect feedback after the session (for self-improvement).

Make the app publicly accessible.

Getting ready for the soft-launch.
Onto the legal pages now.

I resisted the urge to add that spontaneous cool feature. There are still other things to finish to be ready to ship! 😅

Updated the UI and posted my first update.

Being in the onboarding space for so long, I am making a very minimal interface for this tracker app, it'll point the end-users towards their first steps. As they proceed, they'll reveal features, triggering curiosity to learn more.

Second batch of beta testers invited. Feedback from the first batch is very positive. 🥳

Implement subscription.

Twelve years ago, I spent weeks, if not months, implementing a payment gateway, obtaining a merchant account from the local bank, paying setup fees,... All to start selling a digital product. Today it took me 42 minutes to implement Stripe with full subscription management. #serverless ❤️
