Artyom Smirnov

The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little "extra".

Submitted to AwesomeIndie

Yet another IH project directory, let's see how it works. https://awesomeindie.com/submit

Added the tweet button to

It's the first step towards virality: giving a happy user a possibility to tweet about their success right after the desired action.

Released v1.7.0

Finally added proper UX: a spinner and progress output, plus final stats. I consider it feature-complete before v2.

Today I'm finally finishing all small and big UX changes for the v2

Hope I have a more or less polished version by the end of the day. I plan to market it more aggressively next week.

Big code cleanup for

It's been cowboy-style coding until now, and the popup code was a single component that really grew up. I decided to take a break from enhancing the UX/UI and paid back some of the tech debt, separating out 6 new components.

Well done - it's always hard making time for this sort of thing but it will save time in the long run!

Updated the copy for

After listening to users on UserBob, I heard that they are still unsure about their privacy, so I added a small Q&A section to https://detoxbox.xyz to address this concern.

Got the first bug report for

A user reported a bug through the feedback form, and he was kind enough to offer a chat and a screen share.

Applied insights from user videos to

After watching a few user videos from UserBob I realized that my home page isn't clear enough. It looked like users just don't read subheaders. Had to play with fonts a bit and also remove the background image from the cover.

Redesigned the "Please pay" section for

I asked for advice on Twitter and @d__raptis showed me how to make my design and copy much much better.

Submitted to Fiddy

I'm starting to submit DetoxBox to various small project catalogs, hoping to get some feedback before going big.

Submitted v0.6 to Google Webstore

This is the first version that actually asks for money.

Got Tailwind working for

I was pretty sure I got it right the first time, so I didn't even test it. This time I spent an hour or two, but I finally got it working.

Implemented "load more" for

so that you could unsubscribe in smaller portions or from all mailing lists at once.

Applied for an accelerator

I tried to apply for a pre-accelerator, but it looks like I applied for the main program instead. Don't know if it's good or bad, I hope my Startup Visa mentor will help me to fix this mess.

Attended Indie Worldwide meetup

Pitched Detoxbox to two attendees during the networking session.

Added Tailwind to

Because, you know, everybody uses it these days, time to catch up!

Took a day off

Had had not enough sleep today, so preferred to just watch a TV series

Started adding paid features for

Free users will be able to unsubscribe from 5 mailing lists only.

Leave a comment if you want to use the paid features, I'll give you a free pass.

Finally got extpay working

Extpay is a payment solution for browser extensions for those who don't want to write their own. It allows me to avoid setting up a backend, which is sweet.

Today I finally nailed a bug, the dev fixed it, shipped the new version, and within a few minutes, I had it working!
