How long did it take to build the 1st releasable version of Makerlog?

I'm curious how long it took to build this application? How many people worked on the 1st release?

The app is really smooth, and the team — they seem to be very good coders as well. I’m going to guess 2 weeks for initial alpha. Curious to know what the real answer will be.

@lori Indeed. :) It took me around 3 months to get the MVP out back in 2018, particularly because it was my React learning project.

Now: the new version took near the same time as a rewrite.

@sergio shit! You telling me you learned React when you were building Makerlog v1? How long were you playing w/ React before then? Or was the first line of code your first day w/ React?

@helengriffinjr Yes, was learning React: ML was my "learn React DIY project". I was playing with React Native before but I really wanted to try out react-web + redux.

@sergio this give me so much peace of mind. I’ve been cranky & a tad bit insecure because I had to pause coding & learning frameworks to focus on sales & my market.

Maybe there's hope for me after all. 😂
