Co-Working Spaces VS Working in Solitude

I love co-working spaces, here at school, the library is my favorite spot. Before this year I wouldn't have felt the same. Being around other people who are focused, while having a drink of my choice and sunlight on me makes a huge difference. What do you guys think?

My favorite spot is library because of wifi + aircon + book + clean toilet lol But table is always full.

For the past few years i’ve been to some best places i work in public:

  • Starbucks, Macdonalds, KFC, Subway, Community centres, Public Libraries, Shopping malls, hotel lobbies, coffee shops, hospitals, Family Mart, 7-eleven, train, park, bus & favorite place is Apple Store too. https://twitter.com/fajarsiddiqFS/status/1206788451103731713

@fajarsiddiq I got into the library this morning at 8am EST in order to save my favorite spot. I'm going to be here all day so it's important hahaha

I like both! But as long as you give me a really good co-working, then I take it over solitude for sure.

I rent out an "office space" - which in my case is just one desk in a bigger open area.

Other people also rent offices/desks. Really like having people around who are serious about work, too! They're calling it "flex(ible)" but I've got a space I can call mine and a desk I can leave my monitors and other stuff on, safely.

Additional benefit once in a while is the 16 'o clock beer time on Fridays!

@woutertoday so they let you leave your stuff on the desk if you leave?

@bryceroars yes! It's 'my' desk, so I can basically do what I want 😎. I've got some monitors set up so I can just plugin my laptop when I arrive.

I have never understood this. You are blessed that you don't have to go to the office every day, but instead of staying home in total comfort you still commute every day to an office-like place? How do you take a nap if you want to? How do you, I don't know, eat? exercise? Do you also go there on weekends, if you feel like working for an hour?

@uluhonolulu For me, it's connected to a mindset. Getting dressed, getting ready. Provides structure. And in my case, there's the social aspect. We used to lunch together before covid and that's just a nice break in ty day. If I don't feel like going to the office, I'll plug my laptop into my home setup.
