I just launched my first paid theme for Ghost
I've been coding this theme in spare time over the past few months. It's been a challenge to learn all of Ghost's many features and figure out how to best display the content.
This theme was both my first attempt at creating a paid theme, but also an exercise in creating a custom theme for my blog, Tee Drop. The theme has been in use there for a week or so already as a testing environment.
By combing through all of Ghost's docs, it's clear how much effort and thought has been put into the product. What a platform! Memberships are something I will be offering in a "premium" version of this Parker theme. (And something I will be harnessing for another Ghost-related product coming soon 🤫)
I have three other themes in various stages of design and development, and I will continue to produce themes over the coming year. This first one was definitely the hardest! I already see more momentum when creating the second and third themes, now I've learned the basics.
As for a business, I have no idea how this theme stuff will go. I decided late last year that Ghost themes is a revenue opportunity I wanted to explore in 2020. Launching Parker is step one. Step two is to figure out the best way to market and explain each theme, plus getting them listed into the theme marketplaces. Step three is to set up a proper RDN Themes website including support pages. Then I need to release new themes!
It feels like day one of a fun and exciting journey.
If you have any questions about any of this, let me know below!

Awesome! Ghost is such a great platform and I am so happy to see more creators working on it.
Ghost is amazing. I'm going big on Ghost this year, including a commenting tool Cove. I reckon Ghost will dominate in the coming year or two.
I love ghost, very cool theme. How are the sales going?
I thought at first you had dropped an e-commerce theme and I was like wow. that is next level. It's still pretty next level, great idea for a blog too. :)
