Which colors did you use for your brand?

Which colors did you use and why?

Which palettes you think are overused or cliche?

Which one do you like he most?

What do you think about gradients?

I used green for Makerlog because…

  • It's my favorite color, eyes are green, earth is green, I just love green
  • I associate green with positivity, getting things done. A green light, etc.

The psychology of colors does play a bit. I think blue is overused and cliché. I love green and purple for things.

Gradients are fun, just don't go too wild. Stripe can pull gradients off because they have fire designers, but not everyone can :)

@sergio Love the Makerlog green :)

Yeah, I also think blue is cliche, especially within tech circles.

Also, gradients are going in that direction thanks to Stripe haha albeit, their page does look GREAT.

I'm a big fan of purple. Look at my shirt haha ;)

Which colours did you use and why? As weird as it sounds, I have gone with a mix of brown, yellow and blue for the branding for the project I am currently working on. The reason is because it they are pretty relaxed colours and feel at home with the forest theme I have going on.

Which palettes you think are overused or cliche? Blue is WAY overused

What do you think about gradients? Fine when subtle but can quickly clash and look dated.

@nblackburn The brown and yellow reminds me of old school Ubuntu. I loved those! Curious to see yours :)
