Personal finance communities?
I'm building a free, game-based personal finance education app called Finny (askfinny.com) and am curious if you could recommend any personal finance forum where I can get input/feedback on the app. I've an avid user of Reddit's personal finance sub… does anything else come to mind? Please share your ideas:)

Aw yeah, love this stuff @JessicaAlter .
Yeah we're working on an investment community app, which is kind of similar to personal finance. Like you mentioned, r/personalfinance is great. Even something like redflagdeals in Canada promotes a lot of personal finance discussions because of their ability to share good credit cards with each other. I know a lot of credit card companies dump a bunch of money into SEO to promote their credit cards.
The truth is, a lot like investing, personal finance affects nearly everyone. I'd look at professional communities (people with money) to see if you can ask them to give you some ideas or feedback.
@JoshRozin Thanks Josh! We're a bit different because we're trying to appeal to all young adults trying to learn personal finance. Not just folks with money. I will try PF subreddit.
I also checked out your app and thought it was pretty cool! I think social in finance/investing is needed.
What's your distribution strategy? Where do you find users?

Try reaching out to some low to medium sized finance bloggers for feedback. Not the large ones, as they'll likely ignore these outreaches.
Why bloggers?
- It helps create awareness that your app exists
- You get feedback from those who are most publicly interested in personal finance (as they've started a blog on it)
- They may be able to tap their network for feedback on your behalf
Good luck!
Hey Simon, thank you. That's a really good idea. Any specific mid-sized bloggers who could be helpful from your perspective? Feel free to mention some names.
