Best platform to do some dev vlogs.

Hello there 😇

I'm so grateful to find this forum alive and need your help !

On my way as an indie maker, I'd like to get some visibility on my Twitter, potentially my YouTube too. I do tweets regularly, things very interesting, and already have a small audience. I'd like to get it keep growing by doing some vlogs. There are lot of platforms (like Twitch) but actually can't choose the best one to do tech vlogs.

What do you recommend about the "good platform" to use ? 🧐 Also, what about the vlogging content / topics as a remote indie maker ?

Thanks for your help 🙏

I'd say you could use YouTube if you're already there! It's a fairly popular platform :P

I guess I'll give it a try with short-form content at the beginning. All along with Twitch to get familiar with streaming / camera / content …

Thank you @jip

IndieLog would be a candidate. But tbh, good or bad.

Good thing is it has 2 minutes limitation for each video. It would be good just to give a short update on what you up to. Bad thing is also the 2 minutes limitation. If your vlog is longer than 2 minutes, you cannot upload it.

Meanwhile, I would like to explore some new potentials for our community. Maybe we can get rid of the time limitation, and allow different types of vlogs to be posted, not only a quick update for the work.

Thing is that sometimes I'll probably do longer session in order to explain tech concepts which can take more around 5 minutes of recording. 🤔
