π Redesigned landing page launched - any feedback?
Hi makers,
I spend some time redoing my landing page as I identified a couple of issues. I'd love some feedback now.
If you want you can answer those questions:
- Do you immediately understand what it is?
- Can you describe it one or two sentences from your perspective?
- What stops you from trying? (Be honest)
Best, Kai
Hey Kai,
I looked at your page and the heading hit me so clearly, I was surprised why the rest of the page exists. I am sure others will still find issues and I am even surer that there are ways to improve, but the idea set in quickly.
So:
- Yes I understood instantly
- I use this app to help stay in touch* with people I know and care about
- I am the extreme other end of this - I need more detox so I am not in the target audience I think
Cheers, Sumit
I support responders. First block is enough. But if you want to add more info, it is better to leave:
- Fast setup. Easy to use.
- Important birthdays only.
It is good fo customers to see what's inside, everything else is cheesy and a bit irrelevant as person by him\herself choose why they need to use it.
@kaioelfke I think about these parts:
- Isn't remembering myself enough?
- Mindful relationships. Better life.
- Remind like you are an angry mother who drills a child and tells him\her how to live. It is better to let your customer decide why they should use and just showcase the best parts.
Apologies for not answering your questions directly, but everything after "Proactively" is too much to read.

Don't give up, keep at it πͺ
Hi Kai,
Super neat app! I actually was just looking at something similar the other day. I'd echo what you said below, the privacy is important for me. I think personally I wouldn't use it because I skew towards talking to people and not concentrating on work enough. I would really like to know how to spend my people energy better though. Like who I should keep in touch with and why. Is there someone I'm an acquaintance with who could be a great friend? Is there someone I'm friends with who I could spend less time with, because maybe our friendship isn't working well for me (or us)? If I saw an app that could help with those kinds of things, I'd sign up. Congratulations on the redesign though! I think it looks great.
I really like the app idea and I totally understand the need: I myself forget about reaching out to friends or family and I had in my plans an app that helps stay in touch.
- I find the landing page very understandable and the texts are also descriptive.
- Concerning the design, maybe you want to have the buttons that redirect to the Play Store in the middle of the screen and you want the scroll to be at the bottom of the screen so we know there is more?
- I could definitely try the app
Thank you for your feedback Ndeye. I'm happy you like the idea and find it useful.
I guess you're on Android? You can signup for the waiting list then.
I'm not sure I understand your layout comments. The button is centered? Maybe it looks different on your device. I changed the layout a bit for the new domain amicu.app
Hey, the landing page is clear and looks bold and beautiful. Like @brainless mentioned, I didn't even have to scroll down.
One suggestion I have is to swap the screenshot and the headline div. People read from left to right and your headline is the first thing you want visitors to read. And we have gotten used to this layout in all apps.
Here's a screenshot of how it would look.
To answer your questions:
- Yes. I can understand immediately.
- An app which reminds me to talk/chat with my friends.
- I wouldn't use this as I have a small group of friends and I already regularly chat with them almost daily.
But here's another use case for this. Busy and highly productive people like to keep in touch with their mentors and folks one level above them regularly. They send emails once a week or two weeks to keep them top of mind. They would be your ideal clients. But even then your competition is a recurring task set in their google calendar. But I would think along those lines to see if you can get customers there.
Thank you @cnu - that's very useful feedback. You are right it makes more sense to switch for left to right reading.
I was asking myself about recurring tasks. In the beginning I aimed to keep in touch with many and felt it was difficult to go through several thousand contacts and assign reminders. So I made the app to be able to do that in one tap.
Now some months later I realized that chatting doesn't matter much for me. I only proactively keep track of the people I want to meet or call. Multiple papers conclude that it's essential to meet for close personal relationships. I experienced slightly different paint points now.
Thank you for your time, if you want you can answer this with yes / no:
Do you get to meet / call your group of friends often enough? Do you manage to budget enough time for it? Is it easy to schedule time / place to meet?
@kaioelfke Right now I chat with my close friends over Whatsapp and text. Occasionally I get on a call too. We do try to meet, when there are multiple people it's hard to sync a place and time.
