How do you decide for product names?

Do you have any special procedures or ressources for finding a product name? What's your approach?

Keywords of the products purpose Or what it is. -product -bot -reminder

And then I check if it's available with the domain of either: .com .io

Sometimes I go to other languages such as Gratitude (English) = Shukr (Arabic)

And pair it with the what:

Shukr Journal

I agree that keywords are optimal, but for more general products it can be really hard to find a .com .io or even .app.

I thought on using a german word too, "horch", but I'm not sure if that would have a negative impact on how well people can remember my product/domain name.

Brainstorm about keywords. Then, play with the keywords.

https://startupnamecheck.com/ is a great tool for making sure the domain name, github, twitter, etc., are available.
