My proposed solution to getting stuck in the build trap.
Often, as a developers, it can seem like every problem should be solvable with code, including marketing, talking with users, and doing outreach. However, that's not the case. If you research your market and get feedback early on to validate your idea, you'll have a tremendous advantage over your competition.
Your website will reflect the conversations you had with users and address their concerns and conflicts as soon as possible. Your call to action buttons will sync up with their desires and you'll truly understand how to talk with with when they reach out.
I built Remake, an open source web app framework, over the past year and a half to help developers build and launch products quickly, so they have more time to gather feedback, iterate, and build something people want.
Please check it out and let me know if you want to talk about building products, doing user research, and iterating on ideas until they work!
