First time using Makerlog - Would love to you hear your productivity tips!
Hello everyone! I love building products and one of my goals in 2021 is to build more things in the open, iterate fast, help and inspire more folks to build stuff. My goal with makerlog is to keep me accountable and stay on track!
I'm curious to know how everyone uses the platform. Any cool integrations or tricks that you would like to share?
Happy to be here!
Welcome Shiv!
I usually drop by a few times a day. Logging whatever I was working on in the feed, scroll in the feed a little bit and every now and then go through the discussions and see if I can contribute something. No real secrets here.
Only advice is to continuously log some tasks for a few days to get a streak. I've found that having a good streak helps you to stick with it even better.
Most of the time I use my commit messages as todos here (slightly edited). Sometimes I write the todos here beforehand, so that I have the work outlined as for the day (kind of a small todo list). But it depends on my mood, I don't have any strict processes for this. I just want to keep the streak in order to build my discipline and focus on the essential work to be done.
I made an open source chrome extension a while ago which let's you post task from a browser popup. I use it everyday :) https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tasklog-for-makerlog/ejdaemlhdmoekfkhbjkekgedjhlhhapl?hl=en
