Please can you give feedback on my startup/landing page
Link: donesmart.com - website just (re)designed for laptop/desktops we haven't made mobile friendly but will later today but this is not a priority cos the software is laptop/desktop chrome extension doesn't work on mobiles/tablets as they don't have chrome extensions - we have been around a long time and our at version 6 of the the software and have 5000+ users and 4 star rating - would welcome feedback on the extension as well as the landing page - cheers guys!!!
Quite frankly, it's not great - it looks dated and not very attractive to me.
I think it could def use some work :)
Congrats on v6!
@sitelauncher The skeumorphism looks dated, the gradients on the navbar, etc. It looks from a few years ago :P
Not sure how to pin it down; it's a matter of personal taste mostly.
I agree it looks dated, like something built circa 2008. When it looks dated, people may assume that it has not been updated in awhile, and in turn does not inspire trust.
However, you already have a growing user base and good ratings, so maybe aesthetics don't matter that much after all! :) To each their own. I did not install but clicked around and everything works as it should.
I'm not a designer so take this with a pinch of salt.
Perhaps look at some landing pages that convert well (easy Google search) and then take what you like from a couple and make your own version based on that.
I agree with @poppacalypse mentioned with the trust due to it looking dated.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
- The landing page doesn't (immediately) communicate the value of the product
- It doesn't communicate who it is for
- It doesn't follow the modern landing page structure people are used to
- It looks like it's from the 00s hence gives an impression that this project is "poorly maintained" or even "dead"
I would suggest you to:
[1] go through this brilliant guide on "writing and designing modern landing pages that convert" (that's what their claim is) https://www.julian.com/guide/growth/landing-pages
[2] Use this for inspiration. I am designing my own landing page and use SaaSPages to check how others have implemented different parts of the landing page https://saaspages.xyz

Please show us once you've revised the design :) I wish you the very best.
Hey David,
First impression.. Is this a virus / ad-aware / pop up? My first instinct was to close the window. Maybe its the color/layout and big INSTALL button. You have good content, but I think the layout could use some breathing room.
Instead of trying to display everything at once in one area, spread it out a bit and give it some more white space / breathing room.
The features section instead of being a list could easily be positioned as icons and individual selling points.
Check out Grammarly as an example, they are a chrome extension, but the way the site is laid out makes it much more inviting and friendly: https://www.grammarly.com/
Example 2: https://getliner.com/
Also you mention you have a 4 star rating and 5000+ users but I didn't see it anywhere on the page, could be a good idea to include it(similar to grammarly example). If I wasn't working right now I'd happily create a mockup for you :)
Hope this was helpful and not too critical!
