Deleted all my Facebook apps
I feel light
I have zero social apps in my phone to avoid distractions. Twitter and other addictive sites I keep them contained with LeechBlock on the browser xD
Since you're more of a developer:
- twitter.com to follow some founders/makers/developers
- dev.to to read/post articles on software engineer/developers
- linkedin.com to connect with entrepreneurs
- github.com all the repo, gist with other developers
- stackoverflow.com for public/private Q&A for developers by developers
- getmakerlog.com more for your log task the product you're making
- telegram.me you can use to chat with makerlog community members
For other social media, you can have the account and be non-active. I logged on from time to time if i need to use it for some purpose
- facebook, instagram, whatsapp, slack, discord etc.
@fajarsiddiq Awesome reply :) And 💯 I should have clarified, I deleted my Facebook apps "as a developer". I kept my Facebook account and am non-active. Interestingly, I have the same set of active / non-active accounts. I'm still questioning how I should approach fb/insta pages and groups for my products, how do you approach this?
@sowenjub Good point! - i think many founders struggle this too. Especially managing the business on the marketing side. Honestly if your product is ready to market, you can always update 4x 1 month.
But if your product is not ready, i think you can just leave it as it is. (but don't try to do that). Also on another hand, i will not try to buy more domains or create new social media pages like fb/insta/twitter. I learn this last year. So i remove it some of it because i can't manage. I put in a google sheet list what i want to manage like domains, social media and everything else.
Other than that i just click like, RT, comment, share within the number of people. But you can have 1-2 social media account that you update constantly and share across. Example i'm active on twitter/ig. The reason why is either I write or either I snap photo/video. I love visual more but at times i want to write more but I think writing too much can be too loud sometimes on Twitter lol. So I recently don't tweet so much but became more active writing on private place like on telegram or makerlog.
