$3500 MRR with a Tailwind CSS Page Builder

Hey Makerlog community,

My name is Tony and I'm the creator of the website called DevDojo at https://devdojo.com.

I've recently released a new project called Tails, which is a TailwindCSS page builder.

I've been working on the DevDojo for the last 5 years and it finally feels like I'm starting to gain some traction 🚀

It's been a bit of a roller coaster recently with the amount of paid monthly users on my site. One day I will be excited that I just got 10 new customers and the next it will be discouraging to see that I only had 2 new customers and that 5 have churned from the last month. I'm not complaining because when I look at the overall graph of active paying users, it seems to be climbing.

Anyway, my current MRR is not enough to sustain me and my family of 5 just yet. I still have a full-time job and I feel that I'll need to double the amount of MRR that I'm currently getting in order to compensate for my full-time job.

Looking for any kind of encouragement or advice from all the other makers out there.

Really grateful for how far I've gotten, I guess I just have to keep riding this roller coaster to see if it leads to an online business that I can pay attention to full-time.

Any words of encouragement or advice, greatly appreciated 😉

Welcome to our community, Tony.

Keep on swimming!

Firstly, congrats! It’s quite the accomplishment, and something to be proud of.

Don’t worry about the ups and downs, that’s a natural part of the process. The trick is to learn to ride the wave, and take breaks as necessary to keep from burning out.

Good luck!
