Just deployed the website, what do you think?
Hey Makers,
I just deployed the website https://useMakerNotes.com
Before transitioning to making stuff, I'm a website designer who takes details into account. Details like accessibility; color, layout and Typography hierarchy. I can't help but consider all these as well.
If you could take a moment to check it out and give me your feedback, I'd really appreciate it.
It's meant for Makers like You & I, and I look forward to making it one of the best resources for bootstrappers.
Looking forward to your thoughts.
Looks really good! One can easily say that you have a sense for good design. A small tweak I would do is to center the "Every 2 weeks, I:" text. Nevertheless it's a well-crafted, simple page. Subscribed ;) Good luck!
@Brslv Thank you for your kind words.
Good catch there, I played with that too. Here's what I found out:
Left aligning "Every 2 weeks" keeps the intro keyword in focus for skimming.
If I center it, you'll probably miss it because it has only a few keywords (but a paramount message). Centering will make it easier to jump from the title to the bullet points (poor contrast) skipping how frequent the list will be done.
I hope I conveyed my logic well. Thanks so much for the feedback!
@ToheebDotCom ok, you convinced me, it's better left-aligned :))) One more thing - when I shrink the window I can see two fragments on the top right that I guess are not meant to be there - here's a screenshot https://ibb.co/826wd2Q ;)
@Brslv I used both fragments to give some sort of visual balance if you view it from mobile since the title is left aligned and not centred (as it was on desktop).
Seeing your screenshot now, I might need to adjust the fragment at the bottom. My intention was the two fragments stays up and down to counter the title that flushed left.
I love these🙌 Thanks a lot for bringing my attention to that
Are you looking for feedback on the page or on the concept?
The landing page is very beautiful! Love the attention to detail.
The concept is cool too, I just joined :)
Thanks @sneub I wanted feedback on the two and you just did.
More importantly, you signed up🙌
