Can I get feedback on our new landing page?
Hey everyone,
We just launched a new product called Liteflow and with it, a new landing page.
We are updating the visual design and branding currently, including the logo and favicon, so this is an early version.
Also, we are working on adding much more information regarding the pricing of the product.
Do you think this content is effective at generating interest?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello there!
I love it when people putting a product out there to make processes easier.
Concerning this landing, I feel like it lacks UI\UX:
- It has a similar CTA on the first screen, which is confusing.
- Visuals are quite average.
- Tutorials throw you on some other website.
- Block that starts with "Development framework…" doesn't have a "design" meaning. Is it describing a product? or an offer? or smth else?
From the perspective of your copy:
- There are not enough convincing points.
- "Be more productive. Focus on what matters" part is quite general and not connect to the product that much. On the other side "Single-command deployment. Automatic scaling" is meaningful info.
- Name for "Documentation" is not very common. Usually it is "Learning Lab"\"Knowledge Base" ets.
- IMHO it is missing About part.
Wish you best of luck with your product!
Hey William,
Congrats on the launch. I understand you are working on new branding and design identity, I will stick to the copy, images and my other thoughts as a developer.
First, the headline needs to be more specific.
Change the "Build and ship applications faster" to something like "Build and deploy your application in 37s" (use how many ever seconds it takes).
DigitalOcean used to have the headline "Deploy your server in 55s"
An easier tip is to minimise adjectives and adverbs - faster, quicker, beautiful, simple, etc. Be more specific than generic.
Subheadline doesn't tell me what kind of product/service I am looking at.
Without even scrolling, I should be able to say what I am signing up for. If this a web framework? or API framework? Or a PaaS like Heroku?
Maybe have a demo video or quick-start commands that someone can copy and paste to see how it works.
Should I learn a new language?
Looking at the screenshot it looks like I have to learn a new DSL to build APIs. People are used to their preferred languages and frameworks. You should try to say that your service works with existing lang/frameworks too.
From the code samples I see, I don't know how I would host my HTML/CSS/js code. Or maybe I am not understanding the service properly.
There are many fluff words like Be more productive, Focus on what matters, Maintain easily, etc. Like I mentioned before be more specific and clear.
Pricing?
You say pay-per-use. But what am I paying for? Hosting? The number of requests? data transfer? You should have a pricing link and clearly explain it.
Accessibility
Using screenshots for code is bad for accessibility. Think how would a visually impaired visitor understand the website?
These are things that I noticed by just looking at the landing page. Maybe if I spent some time looking at the docs, I would be able to understand it better. But the whole purpose of the landing page is to raise enough curiosity to get the visitor to the next step.
Having a single quick-start command that someone can copy-paste to try it would be a good way to give the visitor that quick win.
Let me know once you finish the landing page and I would be happy to give a private audit if you're interested.
Hope it's helpful.
Just my short 2 cents. I read through the page but I'm still not sure what it is exactly that you do.
