Yeah. The problem for sure exists. Even that Google say they can handle SPA's, it works just +/- and SSR continues to be important. I see this on the hard way with my job board, where SEO is very important and I do NOT use SSR. So that's reason why I checked and I will definitively give it a try, just need some time to fit it in my "cloud" :-)
Tried rendora sometime back. Really a nice way of tackling the seo problem which arises with react and other csr frameworks.
