Where do I start on developing?
So my business idea relies heavily on a website and I do not look to build this by myself, but I would like to learn of web development and coding so I am able to communicate to my future partners and understand their job better. Where do I begin?
Start with the visual drag and drop website builders, like Squarespace or Wordpress, or the many landing page website builders made by indie makers like Carrd. If you're keen to learn a bit of html, css, Webflow is great for that. Coding a whole website using html, css from scratch might feel a bit intimidating for a beginner (I was just recently in that place too), so I found starting with templates and scaffolded websites help make the learning of web development more manageable, less scary…
I know of at least 3 website builders/designers from founders who are on Makerlog or Indie Hackers or on founder chats - Dorik, Versoly, Unicorn Platform. I would say try them out.
Since you specifically mentioned web development and coding, I would suggest starting with freecodecamp.org . Start with their HTML module and then go down the web development course. They content is very hands-on and is very suitable for a complete beginner. Best of Luck.
