Recommendation for HeadlessCMS?
Hey guys!
I am starting a new project with next.js, can you recommend HeadlessCMS you had a good experience with? I didn't expect there are so many of them so I am a bit lost :)
I used Strapi recently and it was a very nice experience. Feels even more at home if you used Nodejs and ExpressJs before 👌
@razvanilin Nice! I'll use Strapi as well. I want to feel at home! 😃
I really like Craft CMS.
It is really powerful and flexible whilst being quick and easy to use.
I'm having a superb experience with Strapi. Webiny looks also very promising. But in the end, the decision boils down to what you ultimately expect from your CMS. Do you need media management with automatic image optimization, user management with roles, easy API extension, GraphQL, etc… DatoCMS is also very good, but rather expensive. I run Strapi totally for free as I only need it during build time and create a tunnel for CI using ngrok lol
@scriptifyjs For starters, I only need simple text data management and storage. I probably could have used markdown for my cases but I want to try CMS. I think it will be more convenient. And yeah I was looking for a free one so Strapi it is!
I am using Strapi in production for 3 months now. So far so good. I am facing some issues here and there but it is very easy and smooth from development perspective. Most of the issues I am facing are related to deployment and performance tuning.
If I am building something I will choose Strapi for opensource and Contentful as a paid option.
Thanks, everyone for the help! I think I'll go for Strapi, it looks very good!
