💸 Is anyone here good at pricing examples?

  • per hour rate
  • one time payment rate
  • subscription rate
  • one time payment project rate
  • other kinds

PS: Also if you have sources to share like pricing models for SaaS, Graphic Design service, UI/UX Service, Video Editing do share.

I love @kevin's Harvy pricing model https://harvy.app/pricing

The more you run, the less you pay next month. That's incredibly motivating. And there's also a free tier.

thanks for the shoutout @alina - hopefully it works when it is implemented 😂

@kevin I imagine implementing it is a bit of a pain, but the concept is just spot on for the app. 😁 And anyway, any possible bugs would be forgiven, who can resist the power of that logo?? 😂

wow this is so unique @alina, when is launching @kevin?

Yep, the best thought pricing I've seen 😁

@kevin Please stop making running seem fun with that pricing model, freehand map drawing and corgi 😁 It'll be much harder to be lazy…

@alina I think you're starting to become my target customer 😂 @fajarsiddiq - still a bit away from launching that pricing model specifically. Other priorities came up such as making sure I was talking to customers, etc. that made implementing the pricing a lower priority

@kevin Think about increasing your minimum price before launching. $2.50 (or more, this is just an example) is the same as $0.99 to people who own a smartphone and have at least $5/mo to spend on a running app. But it's 2.5x the minimum revenue.

Your maximum should also not be the base price, but the base price + a "punishment fee" for when you don't run. This leads to higher revenue for your company, higher perceived "savings" if the user does run (so more satisfaction), and those who consistently achieve their goals still pay the same (minimum) as before. $7.50 sounds more than fair to me (and it could be higher, this is just me limiting the price because I'm emotionally attached as a consumer), and it's again a 50% increase to max revenue.

Also makes me think of Headspace, the meditation app. You could have expert-made courses ("ladders" of progress, or themed sets) that can be bought separately.

@sebastienvercammen wow! Thank you so much for responding. The "punishment fee" is a great idea too…I hadn't even thought of that. Also with creating ladders or corses, those are great ideas! I haven't been able to actually implement this but I should work on implementing this way instead because it will lead to a better company result. Thank you!

There was an amazing product that helped price products, go check it out:

Digital Psychology

It shows you ways to psychologically encourage users to subscribe. This is more to be used after you have a model.
