BNI weekly meeting.
I was in a chapter many years ago for my design/dev company and it was not nearly as beneficial, but the group members were quite a bit older and was also about half the size of the one I'm in now.
It certainly feels cult-ish, there are very strict processes (which is what makes the system work), but it can feel a bit overwhelming. If you have a small niche, it could be very hard to get referrals for sure.
Just attended one intro session. The business I was working on at the time was a bit too niche and tech-y, and it was hard for the other members to refer any businesses my way.
I think it’s useful for some types of businesses, maybe the more brick-and-mortar ones.
Not sure how it was/is at your chapter, but the one I was invited to felt a bit too cult-ish! 😅
Gah, I wrote up a big response and it failed on posting… I'm in it for my Interior House Painting Company, and it's easily paid for itself.
It's a fairly large time commitment, but I have met a lot of great people and you couldn't spend $1,000 on any other kind of marketing that would have as much of a return.
Quick one: how are you finding the BNI stuff, and how long have you been a part of it?
