Completed my first user interview with Ric Barnes
Ric is a really cool guy, and around my age. He took me through his Notion at first, and then we got into how intertwined his personal goals are with his work, finally ending with his videography hobby.
For a first interview, it wasn't bad. I didn't have as much structure to it as I would have liked, and my nerves got to me in some parts. But, I got Ric to open up pretty well about his own process, and I think it was a good trial run.
I hope to continue to improve my interviewing skills. Recording the call is helpful, which lets me focus on the conversation. But, I think I need to get a little more precise in what exactly I want to discuss. Didn't talk much gamification or growth mindset per se, but he did give me some immediate inspiration.
Now, I need to validate these findings by seeing if other users share processes and ideas about goal setting.
