The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is just that little "extra".

Rest day from coding it (mostly) but selling the idea I guess?

I took a rest day from coding the damn thing for the most part. I couldn't resist taking a stab at the bug again.

But I told multiple people about the idea and they're all excited to try it out. Now I just have to finish it to get it into their hands. Just a few more days. #lazytbr

Authentication Finished and Dashboard set up

Finished up with the authentication. Not building out every feature to begin with, my objective is to ship and then continue to add features to it but the auth will do for now.
Built the frame of the dashboard. It's a matter of hooking everything up to the database now.

Secured a world class domain! (Top secret until launch)

Didn't get too much done in terms of getting further on Authentication. Did sign up connection to firebase and a bit more styling.
But most importantly, came across the perfect domain name and the perfect name for the app.

Day 2: Data modelling done, and started on putting everything together

Data modelling ended up being simpler than I expected. The trick to no document oriented databases is to make sure to keep the collections shallow.
With the technical/set up issues out of the way, I could finally start on the project repo.
Built Login and register pages with some functionality.
Set up and configured Firebase project.

Tomorrow's plan to hook everything up to Firebase and get authentication working. And once that's done work on the profile and dashboard.

Day 1: Modal, Profile, forms

I fleshed out the profile
Build out the form functionality
And wrapped it in a modal and added functionality to the modal.

I think that is all for the technical requirements I needed a proof of concept for. Next is data modelling for the database. I'm building the mvp on Firestore, a document oriented database. So wish me luck lol.

Day 0: We're off to the races!

Finally finished an internship and I'm now starting a project that I've been holding off for 3 months.

Fantastic first day. Started by designing the component parts and then solving the hardest technical problems that I would have to solve. I plan to do this for all parts of the project before getting started on putting everything together.

Problems solved for:
1. Design (Technical design) + rough paper sketch
2. Making Google's Books API work
3. Anonymous Sign in
