It's the first step towards virality: giving a happy user a possibility to tweet about their success right after the desired action.

Finally added proper UX: a spinner and progress output, plus final stats. I consider it feature-complete before v2.

It's been cowboy-style coding until now, and the popup code was a single component that really grew up. I decided to take a break from enhancing the UX/UI and paid back some of the tech debt, separating out 6 new components.

After listening to users on UserBob, I heard that they are still unsure about their privacy, so I added a small Q&A section to https://detoxbox.xyz to address this concern.

A user reported a bug through the feedback form, and he was kind enough to offer a chat and a screen share.

After watching a few user videos from UserBob I realized that my home page isn't clear enough. It looked like users just don't read subheaders. Had to play with fonts a bit and also remove the background image from the cover.

I asked for advice on Twitter and @d__raptis showed me how to make my design and copy much much better.

I'm starting to submit DetoxBox to various small project catalogs, hoping to get some feedback before going big.

This is the first version that actually asks for money.

I was pretty sure I got it right the first time, so I didn't even test it. This time I spent an hour or two, but I finally got it working.

Mostly error handling

TBH I'm still figuring it out, but I needed to log a finished task, so let's say I finished starting. Meaning the first few lines of code are there.

Version 0.3, which has all features except for the paywall, has been approved by Google. I still need to approve the API access, which is a much more painful process. Without it, you see a scary consent screen saying that it's unsafe to use this extension.

Instead of a temporary page on Carrd I started a "proper" website for Detoxbox on Tilda. The new address is https://detoxbox.xyz/

I realize that I have no chance to get to the front page, so I humbly submitted it to Show HN. Let's see how it works.
