Which of these 3 logo options is best?

I've designed 3 logos for twitMate but cant settle on one. Each option has both dark and light variations as it will need to work on both dark and light backgrounds.

Option 1: twitMate1

Option 2: twitMate2

Option 3: twitMate3

option 3 looks good.

I like option 2! For some reason the constant orange dot makes it appealing :)

Option 3 for me too. The contrast highlights the interest - twit

I vote for option 2

I like option 2, I think 'mate' orange (with 'twit' the same) in this can also look good. 1 is not as interesting compared to the other two. IMO in option 3 the colour in i's top is not working with the rest of the colour scheme. It does look edgy though, maybe a different shade of blue can work better. or if twit is a shade of blue grey(only if that's an option) this colour can work. :)

Option 2 makes the orange icon feel like "the icing on the cake" (+1)

It might be a little controversial but I kind of like Option 1. One thing to check is the colours work ok. I like the simple colour split on both words.

Something like https://whocanuse.com/ can help make sure those colours are all ok for everyone.

@jamesmkenny thanks for that link - it did throw up some food for thought…

On the dark background all colours are OK but on white the orange text fails.

Note orange on white fails completely - i.e. people with regular vision shouldn't be able to distinguish it. But everyone I speak to seems to be able see it OK so I think the test might be flawed.

I cross checked with other sites that do the same thing and the results are all the same but they are possibly all using the same test.

Overall, I do think I will bear this in mind - I won't treat it as a total showstopper but I will use the dark background preferentially and make sure any text in orange on white is large/bold.

I would say the first one which is more readable than the second one and it is kind of a best practice to use maximum 2 colors in a logo to avoid disturbing the message.

As a designer, i will pick 1 because u need to see design from near and far. For 2 is good but the square on the i looks like a dot from far

I like the first one, but the colour scheme is very FedEx!

I really option 2. That inverted dot makes it.
