I think its mostly reflected here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76Js8KYrRno. Also I saw a lot of people trying to have a public discussion, just to be disregarded and blocked by disagreeing… 1 Day he tweeted: Obsidian is not even a competition, and 2 weeks later he is replying to all the people praising the tool. I think he just throws a very immature vibe overall.

both copy+pasting and just downloading the Markdown and then importing into obsididan. The only problem is that Roam is bulletted and not really super compatible which is another pitfall. You can't just export MD and push it anywhere where obsi or other MD based software.

Why are you moving?

I don't like the founder, can't justify future cost for it after beta, and well Obsi just does a lot of things right including markdown and local storage.

But honestly if it would have a free tier I would still use it just because of the backlinks since Obsi sort of makes a lot of "ghost nodes" due to backlinks and block references being different due to the techical nature of markdown
