Tweaked the OBS configuration quite a bit and made sure the audio was mixed correctly. My laptop is now all ready for the stream!

Are you using OBS with an audio interface? I have so many issues with getting audio from the right sources (on mac)

Thanks a lot for that article - I have iShowU installed but half of the time something goes awry, and I never know what I clicked or didn't click. I wanted to use OBS to stream/record some music production, and so I have guitar + mic going through an interface, and then all tracks (including keyboards) in a digital audio workstation. So, audio from one app basically, but with multiple external inputs, etc etc. Somehow Apple made it really tricky to just

I think I might overcomplicate because I get impatient, but it's definitely not a plug-and-play situation, haha. But I suppose you're right, and I'll take that value exchange. OBS is sort of hard on my mac to begin with, though, even when I tweak the settings.

Yeah it's annoying but I suppose that's ultimately what makes MacOS safer than other operating systems.

So basically I've got two tracks – my playlist and my voice. For the voice I just used the microphone, for the music I used a VLC video source. The downside of that is that I can't skip tracks haha.
