Learn how MVC works in Rails
Again I appreciate the offer of help. Rails is awesome. I've used Basecamp since like 2006 (until I switched and landed on Notion). And Matz who created Ruby goes to our church. So I like the idea of using this language and framework :)
Yes actually. So in early 2000s I learned a bit of ColdFusion which was a Macromedia product (you might know?). I used to build custom CMSs for websites before Wordpress, Squarespace etc. were much easier :) So I get the CRUD concept. Although they didn't refer to it as MVC back then, it was essentially the same thing: get content from server via SQL then insert it into an HTML page.
I'm making sure I can build a basic CRUD app to start with. First project is a logging app to keep track of scriptures and quotes that I like. Basically "Tumblr for one" (for now). Post types Notes / comments (only from me) Collections / tags (to view related posts)
Thanks man, I'm using the Treehouse courses to get me started. One week in and I'm going okay so far. Will def let you know if I get stuck.
