I can't finish my pitch deck for an accelerator, been making it for 4 days, slide by slide. I hate it so much, I can't just sit and make it all.

Mostly error handling

TBH I'm still figuring it out, but I needed to log a finished task, so let's say I finished starting. Meaning the first few lines of code are there.

Version 0.3, which has all features except for the paywall, has been approved by Google. I still need to approve the API access, which is a much more painful process. Without it, you see a scary consent screen saying that it's unsafe to use this extension.

Finally implemented archiving/deleting messages from unwanted mailing lists. So, the main functionality is there for the launch. It remains to add support for trial/paid features, and I'm ready to go.

Not much progress today, been fighting with a nasty build bug that caused my code to recompile in an infinite loop.

As my extension requires accessing user emails, I had to submit it for API access verification. That's scary because if Google doesn't approve it, the project's dead. I had to do it before I invested so much effort into it.

The purpose is to explain that I don't mean anything bad when I read users' emails.

Instead of a temporary page on Carrd I started a "proper" website for Detoxbox on Tilda. The new address is https://detoxbox.xyz/

I was delaying it for a week, but I finally recorded a video for Gmail API consent screen approval. Without this approval from Google, it displays a scary screen that the app is not approved.

I realize that I have no chance to get to the front page, so I humbly submitted it to Show HN. Let's see how it works.

Just bought Speechelo, a text-to-speech tool, $37 lifetime deal (41EUR actually, because VAT). The voice looks promising, but the website is so spammy that I had to check my account to make sure they didn't steal all my money. This is a landing page Bollywood style.

While my current project hasn't been released yet (it's a browser email productivity extension, currently being reviewed by Google), I'm already thinking about the next one. Today I had a chat about Machine Learning, and although Alex wasn't an expert in NLP, he gave me two links that were super-useful.

Submitted #detoxbox to Fiddy -- a directory of side projects with <50 chars description. Let's see how it goes.

It turned out that it wasn't enough to approve #detoxbox in Google Store. I had to approve the OAuth access to Gmail APIs, which I am doing now. Without it, it'll display a scary "Application not approved" stuff on the Google login dialog.

Today I got an invitation from BetaPage to submit DetoxBox. I don't know if the free listing has any value, and the paid one is too expensive for a small project like mine, but being invited feels good, and it adds up to the "passive validation" that I'm getting.
