Audience

Connect with your audience

First version of docs

I've created the first version of the docs and published them using my new doc editor.

- Create newsletter
- Signup forms
- Verification Email settings
- Connect to Mailgun
- Mailgun webhooks
- Connect to AWS SES
- Connect to Sendgrid

This version of these docs mostly focuses on the audience side and some simple explaining of the fields you need to setup.

I'll update and add more around these docs as I go forward.

Deploy first edition of Docs page

I've set the first edition of the docs page into production.

Still have to work on the menu and make some changes to it but it's up and running now.

Document editor

Built out the basics for the document editor. Create new documents.

Adding some updates to the document editor

Some changes to the document editor.

Documentation Basic layout and routing added into

I built out the basic page for the documentation. I've added the routing so I can load the documents.

I'm doing documentation differently with Audience, I've built a small little document editor so I can create and update the documentation.

I wanted to make it really easy for me to create new documents and add them into the docs section, I can just write and hit publish but keep it really simple!

Before I had documentation because you need it but I've tried to put more thought into it and give it more goals:

- Help users understand how to get the most out of Audience.

- Give potential users an idea of what Audience can do for them.

- SEO juice - structure the documentation so that I can get some traffic, how to do X with Y style. I used to do this only with blog posts.

Documentation

First bits of documentation worked out. I plan on starting with the getting started - Create Newsletter, Signup Forms

The idea is to use this as a way to show how to do things but also to get some SEO juice from the documentations

Design the document layouts

A bit of design work to get the layout for the new document pages and menu.

Update the onboarding flow in

I did some updates to the onboarding flow in Audience. The old flow was ok but not great.

Now when a user signs up, they can connect to their email provider and then create their newsletter. But I also allow you to skip the connecting email provider.

Since this is ever users first impression I think it's important to get it right.

Plan out some documentation

The first set of documentation, plan out the first topics and get an outline so I can start scheduling to get them done.

Move the blog

Originally it was set as a subdomain, I've now moved it into a folder and added the menu option to the home screen.

Add the base docs page

Time to start building out the documentation, first step I've created the base page, now I have to start scheduling up some documentation and writing it.

Public pages for newsletters

First version of the newsletter public pages.

Opt in Emails

If the subscriber is already existing and not verified then if they try to sign up for a new list (for example they have already signed up to the newsletter but never verified) then the opt-in email will send.
