Audience

I want to try and build out a new editor for Audience, so I'm going to create it as a prototype, I can experiment and try different things that way.

It now shows you a list of templates to pick from, you can open the template in the email editor, the HTML or MJML versions.

Updating how you can select the templates, and create emails.

This has been on the todo list for a while.

You can now clone a newsletter

I've added the search to the subscribers, also playing around with some stat cards for the subscriber screen.

Working on some ideas for the new subscriber view, new filters and updates to the list.

A new screen for creating the email. will offer you the chance to clone the last email, use your default template, HTML or MJML

I'll also be adding the other templates here too.

Working on some updates for the UI for the next phase.

I am going to set a sprint to run until the new year. So what do I want to get done in Audience before 2023.

You know when you are using the app, you come across a bug. You could ignore it and pretend you never seen it.

I thought about it for a bit and then I decided to fix the bug. I fixed it good!

I've added a new screen in to reactivate old accounts.

So if you had a trial or were an old user more than a year ago, you get the chance to try a new trial.

I am also planning to use this for old trial users as an email touch point, I'll delete your data in X days, but if you want to try it again, just go here type thing.

Making a few small tweaks to the labels.

Adding new headers to some sections.

Added in the Reactivate page and the rule to open it.

It's time to get the buttons moving around.

Added in some new disabled buttons, for when somethings aren't available.

Added a label to show the number of newsletter emails available. The counter is now running as well so it keeps track of how many you have left.

So this morning's testing has been good, I found a bug in the sending and have a fix on the way for that.

A full run through the onboarding to sending the newsletter. With the new trial settings as well.

Update the rules used for the automated permissions.

Added some new rules now to let me control if you can create newsletters. Gives me a read-only mode for when a trial ends.

Updating a bunch of tables with new columns and updating existing records with new defaults.

This is going to be a big change I want to make, but I've been thinking about it more over the last while I think it's the right call to make.
