The past few years had really opened up a rift between my experience of reality and the reality that mainstream media portrays.
The mainstream media reality shows a world burning and dying, at the threshold of collapse from a virus.
My actual lived reality, on the other hand, is a life that mostly goes on peacefully as it had did like the past decades, albeit with masks, hand sanitizer and some restrictions.
It’s like having schizophrenia on a society scale.
It was tough previously when I saw the world through newspaper headlines. But more and more, I’m realising that I can see the world through the people around me.
I can write my own headlines.
“Man hugs wife.”
“Father has fun with son at the playground.”
“Family eats dinner together.”
“Strangers drink beer at a table and laugh.”
These are the headlines I want to write, and to read more of.

Interesting intersection of tech and writing I’m observing recently on Twitter:
NFTs × Writing
I’m sensing an emerging trend here – starting to see writer folks on Twitter start NFT projects for writing. This might be the single most exciting thing I’ve seen for writing in a while.
The best part about NFTs is the secondary market – creators can be paid a small percentage of each subsequent sale of that NFT. In the real world, you sell your painting and that’s it. You don’t get a cut of subsequent sales as the price goes up. But in NFT world you can. It’s like royalties, but with a possible exponential gain in place.

I’d always been a big believer of consistency and habits as a foundation for any kind of success, but lately...that conviction had been wavering lately, when it comes to my efforts in indie hacking and entrepreneurship.
It’s an unpredictable relationship between effort and results. Consistency almost doesn’t matter.
Instead of 10k hours, how about 10k iterations?
Maybe I should iterate more on Lifelog’s copy and conversion?
Maybe I should try 10,000 things when it comes to marketing?
Maybe it’s Lifelog’s features that need more iterations?
Or maybe Lifelog isn’t the breakthrough SaaS I was expecting, so keep trying other products?
Lots of questions, no answers…yet.
